The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Central Florida Race For The CureŽ

Volunteer Opportunities

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Foundation is an international organization with a network of more than 75,000 volunteers working through local Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the CureŽ to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Komen Foundation. Without the generosity of spirit of our dedicated volunteers the Komen mission could not be realized. The Central Florida Affiliate offers many volunteer opportunities for Race Day, as well as to help prepare for several weeks before the race. Whatever your experience may be, we can find a place for you to help.

If interested, please contact Kari-Anne DeGiacomo, Volunteer Chairperson, at volunteerforthecure0909@Yahoo.com.

We look forward to working with you as we "Race For The CureŽ"!
